I know what you men about grey skies! :) But sometimes that's when I find the best reflections, believe it or not. However, I DO have to convince myself to take my camera out on those days. LOL

I just love the sentiment of the last photo, but they each stand on their own. Your prose and quotes are always so appropriate to the photos.
ReplyDeleteI love the duck, what a happy photo!!
ReplyDeleteGood ones, Sylvia! I especially howled with laughter on your last photo and quote about zoos being a great place to study human behavior! How true! Hope to see some of the magic in water this weekend snorkeling in Mother Nature's Fish Bowl.
ReplyDeleteDear Sylvia. Thank´s for your kind comment. I really apologize that I have been absent when it comes to commenting. Right now I´m really busy so blogtime is very limited. Love your skywatch and this wonderful reflection post. Make me longing for the summer. Right now it´s a lot of snow here and -12 degrees Celsius. Please have a wonderful weekend.

cheers from Uruguay :)
I enjopyed the photos, the quotes and especially the bottoms up duck!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw the water first shot, I knew it was a zoo. Do they all buy their concrete from the same place? The otter looks like it's having a great time!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, Kay...they made me smile on this dark Vancouver day! And I so identify with that duck...I seem constantly to be paddling madly despite my calm air...LOL!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, really like the delicacy of the greens and the beautiful reflections in the water texture. Very good.
ReplyDeleteI found the one with the duck very amusing ! And the last one is very interesting, witg this child hands holding a piece of cake that the otter seems to be feed with... Lovely !

ReplyDeleteWonderful pics! FUN too.
ReplyDeleteThe last one....
ReplyDeleteSome,
sitting with their mothers,
held safe
all wrapped up and fed
on the counter
of the
aquarium display,
unaware of their
luck....
And some,
separated at birth,
to live
alone,
in a small
watery enclosure
with fake trees,
artificial lights,
and
piped air...
A moment of
realization
as a vision
of mother
appears
fluid,
in his memory,
a gift
from the little one
watching from outside....
Beautiful pics, very nicely captured!!

ReplyDeleteLove the duck shot, and the quote fits me perfectly as well!
ReplyDeleteWonderful reflections! I, too, have qualms about wild animals kept in artificial surroundings. Different, I suppose, if they're bred and raised in captivity.
