MicroFiction Monday

Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the link under the title to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.

This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.

And here's the picture for the day!

The police had called off the search as the fog thickened. We stayed, staring at
the bridge where we had seen her last. Why? Only silence.

And here is my partner in crime from Mumbai!

We told them not to leave this gap. Now the drunk guy has driven straight through into the water; he thought it's a shortcut to the bridge.

  30. Sad ones today Sylvia but they both fit the picture perfectly.

  31. Oh, that is sad. But I always think there's hope if the person isn't found. Maybe she was saved by swans or something.

  32. Great micros, though we are all thinking such morbid thoughts LOL! :O)

  33. Yours is a wonderful little mystery.

Your friend's is a cautionary tale.

  34. This looks like my water front last weekend. We had a gigantic storm, luckily not as big a flood as Australia.

  35. Oh no! So sad & interesting that you both found drownings in your mMF. But, its a different take than I've read so far, kudos! :>

  36. Sylvia, both of these were definitely on the dark side, but oh so good!

    ReplyDelete
  37. BTW, I really like your new header-the picture is so happy (I can't wait until spring!)

  38. Whoa! Tales From the Darkside, alright! (I can even hear its perfect-for-this-microfiction-image theme music playing in my head!) Especially "...the drunk guy has driven straight through into the water; he thought it's a shortcut to the bridge." All I can say is: GPSs: Stop the madness!!!
