Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us!  Same story as last week -- couple of days with some sun and more gray, plus no way to get down to the harbor or the sanctuary when the sun was around! Thankfully, I still have some from sunnier times! Hope you enjoy!

Remove those 'I want you to like me' stickers from your forehead and, instead, place them where they truly will do the most good - on your mirror!  -Susan Jeffers

This shot was taken from a seaplane over Seattle harbor on my birthday a couple of years ago! The flight was a birthday present from my son. It was fantastic!
Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift.  -Albert Einstein

That which is striking and beautiful is not always good; but that which is good is always beautiful.

  28. Nice photos. The second one is very cool, doubly so since you took it yourself. What a fabulous birthday present you got.

I love the sailing ship photo and the wonderful quote that goes with it.

The other two quotes were great also. How true about the stickers. We have to like ourselves before other people will find us likable. The quote by Einstein is great also.

We had a great thaw today. Things are looking up!

    Have a great weekend.

  31. “That which is striking and beautiful is not always good; but that which is good is always beautiful.”
That is a really interesting quote! Good does always have as apparent beauty. Sometimes the first impression is not beautiful - maybe that is because the good is camouflaged.
