Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us!
I'm still depending on my archives, but I'm not the only one weary of our weather -- a big event every spring is the Tulip Festival in the Skagit Valley and it usually begins in late March with fields and fields of gorgeous tulips of every color. This year they've rescheduled three times and have already given notice that there may not be a festival this year -- there are NO tulips!!!  Forty-one days straight of rain and below normal temps is discouraging to tulips as well as people! So my reminder is a quote by Aristotle!

In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.
Aristotle

A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.
Lou Holtz

The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough.
Rabindranath Tagore

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

  15. How lovely these tranquil shots are, Sylvia, and you've included a few of my favourite quotes! I too love your whimsical header...your friend is both generous and talented.

And how disappointing about the Tulip Festival...what a great photo op. We've had all that rain here in the Lower Mainland as well. When the sun finally comes out, as it did today, we all get a little giddy!
