Evening, Wisdom and Beauty!!

For the families in Connecticut .
Gone Away
© Diana Blokzyl
An Angel whispered
take my hand and
come with me
you're work here is done.

I went away to a place
where there's no tears, nor sorrow
only laughter and smiles,
there will always be a Tomorrow.

As I move amongst the clouds.
I'll look down and smile upon you,
while the angels
sing a heavenly song.

I am not alone
all who went before
are here
they awaited my return.

I know you'll grieve
and wish I was still here
I am here in the memories
you hold dear.

Remember how much I
love you
and know I took your
love with me.

I did not wish for
you to cry, nor feel sad.
My pain is gone and
I am Free!

Soon you'll come to me
until then
God will be with you
Just as He's with me.

  3. Great post Sylvia. It takes me a while to figure out in words how I feel inside about such a tragedy. Posts like yours help.

  4. Beautiful. In heaven we are indeed free, free to live in God's love and glorify the Son always.

  6. How can such things happen in a place so full of opportunity and learning? It makes no sense.

  8. It is days later and I still mourn for the children and the hero's who gave their lives to try to save them. I mourn for our country that has strayed from a path that would never allow such carnage ... I mourn for all of us who will live with this pain and for the survivors in Connecticut who now face the hardest struggle to try to find normalcy in their devastated lives. If we pray for those who we lost, we must also pray for those who are left to pick up the pieces. This is America ... we are better than this. I pray that we find our way back to compassion.

  9. The tragedy in Connecticut has touched humanity all over the planet. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families that lost loved ones.
    Beautiful tribute, Sylvia.
