As many of you know, my youngest daughter, Kerith, was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago in January. She had successful surgery and is doing really well -- no thanks to a wild driver on a California freeway yesterday causing her car to tumble three times!! She spent the afternoon in the Emergency Room, but was home last evening and feeling good all things considered!! But the wonderful thing I wanted to share with you today is a video made by the cancer center where she went for her surgery and starring none other than my lovely daughter!! I hope you can find a few minutes to watch it. It is an inspiration for all!

It is such a wonderful story! Although, what an incredible shakeup to have a rollover happen a year to the date of the breast cancer date. As a mom, I can imagine how you must've felt. But, so happy to hear she is OK and what a beautiful young woman! She looks so much like you! Gorgeous.
What can I say Sylvia, you were so right to say that your beautiful daughter is an inspiration, she truly is. I can only imagine the fright you had when you heard about her accident..I think she is very special and someone is definitely looking after her.

I thought I was would cry when I started watching, such a beautiful women and such a terrible experience ... But your daughter's calm, gentle, comforting manner of explaining what she went through, put me at ease. I can never imagine the fear and the disappointment she experienced. But I do the know the joy of her happy ending, having seen it many times in my own nursing career. God Bless this child and her wonderful supportive mother.

Wow. You put that triple rollover in there almost as a parenthetical phrase. Phew! I am so glad for her and for you that she came out the other side OK. AND, the video is powerful. You have raised a strong young woman, Sylvia.
Sylvia yo must be so proud of this amazing beautiful daughter you have! What a fantastic example to other patients she is .. I was truly touched by her story and her strength. I just found out recently my older sister died of colon cancer for years ago (complicated story of a family in shambles I am sad to say) she was only 54 and I was too late to reach out to her and connect with her again .. it breaks my heart. But seeing your daughter and her perseverance through this very frightening time is so uplifting .. thank you for posting this : ) Joy
