Oh wow, Sylvia. Your images are, as always, stunning. I especially love the reflection of the sky and trees in the second shot. I hope you're having a great weekend. Greetings from Jo, South Africa (for now...)
ReplyDeleteYahoo, my favorite...turtle on a log in water! The only thing better is a duck and a turtle together on a log in the water, and I know you have posted some of those at other times.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making my day! (I haven't seen a wild turtle in years and years.)

ReplyDeleteThe setting sun has made a sun-trail to your feet .... Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice that turtle in your lake shot and had to take a second look. It almost looks like part of the log. Love the sunset cascading over the water.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset - and I especially love the turtle. It would be interesting to see how it climbed up on the log, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteThe sunset looks so serene ! Have a nice weekend !
ReplyDeleteA beautiful path of light on the water in your first shot! And I love turtles!!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully captured!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Sylvia!!
ReplyDeletelove the sun reflected in the water.
ReplyDeletePictures like the first one make me ever sadder that we did not make out to Baimbridge Island this summer. My old back would;t allow me in a plane. Hope maybe next year I will be able to make the trip. genie
ReplyDeleteI wonder if a photo like this gave rise to the phrase "a bump on a log?"
ReplyDeleteA turtle's very slow
I've never seen one run
They like to lay about
And soak up lots of sun.
Still, it's hard to catch one
Floating in a lake
It will see you coming
And dive in like a snake.
Then it's "Bye, bye, Turtle,
"Hope to see you once again.
We're making turtle soup
And we need you in the pan!"
But you'll never catch it
Though an alligator can
So if you catch the gator
It's two for one, my man!
