Mystery solved... This is nature taking a break:   People living in Colorado Springs wondered why their rain water barrel was almost empty every day. They set up a couple cameras and look what they caught on film  ~  Isn't nature beautiful?  Mystery solved!!

We've had some gray, chilly mornings and some rain, but we've had some sun and blue skies, too! Still, it is time for flowering plants to come inside for the winter, the leaves on the trees are turning brilliant colors and the sun sets earlier in skies that appear all too ready to say goodnight!  I had posted the leaf last night, but so many commented about it I thought I'd add it to todays post. I found it on my way home from the store yesterday and the colors were so incredible that I couldn't leave it lying in the street!

Fall is definitely here, but the temps are mild and that's good. By now all of your probably know that I have a "thing" about the water and my closeness to it before I moved is something that I do miss. John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN ) for 6 am ..  While his coffeepot  (MADE IN CHINA)  was perking, he shaved with his  electric razor  (MADE IN HONG KONG)  He put on a  dress shirt  (MADE IN SRI LANKA),  designer jeans  (MADE IN SINGAPORE)  and  tennis shoes  (MADE IN KOREA)  After cooking his breakfast in his new  electric skillet  (MADE IN INDIA)  he sat down with his  calculator  (MADE IN MEXICO)  to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch  (MADE IN TAIWAN )  to the radio  (MADE IN INDIA )  he got in his car  (MADE IN GERMANY )  filled it with GAS  (from Saudi Arabia )  and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.  At the end of yet another discouraging  and fruitless day  checking his  Computer  ( made in MALAYSIA ),  John decided to relax for a while.  He put on his sandals  (MADE IN BRAZIL ),  poured himself a glass of wine  (MADE IN FRANCE )  and turned on his TV  (MADE IN INDONESIA ),  and then wondered why he can't  find a good paying job  in AMERICA

Our weather really hasn't been too bad, not much sun, but not particularly cold -- not as inviting as our very brief summer, but not bad. So, I decided to focus today on the real beauty of autumn here in the northwest -- the wonderful colors and, of course, the delicious veggies at my favorite market!
