Evening Wisdom and Beauty

Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.
Mark Twain
Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is.
Francis Bacon
If I had no sense of humor, I would long ago have committed suicide.
Mahatma Gandhi

Oh, oh, oh those tulips. I have planted 50, only another 300 to go . . .
Iget so much pleasure from your selection of quotes my friend.

Divine images Sylvia, and I think a sense of humor saves the day on many an occasion. I seem to have lost mine a little the last few days, I think you definitely have the right idea of NO facebook!!

I SO agree with Gandhi - where would I be without a sense of humor!? The wave of gold in the sky in your top photo is glorious, and the tulips just make me smile! Where did this week go, Sylvia!? Yikes, I think I'm still back in March while the calendar moved on to May!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
