Our World

Ah, time does fly and particularly when you’re having a great time!!  And, things are wonderful here in Portland lately!! Beautiful, mild weather, blue skies, the kids are all doing well and so is this old broad --- uh, that’s me, just in case you didn’t know!!!  Here are some sights from winter and the coming spring!! Wishing all of you a very wonderful new week with lots of love and laughter and fun – camera in hand, of course!!

A heart in love with beauty never grows old.
       - Turkish Proverb

Do remember this one, it is SO true!!

A bit of spring would do us all good. I see you have something to look forward too. A bit of green grass and blue sky would be just the ticket!

Very beautiful and I like the contrast between the tree in full leaf and the other without leaves. Have a great week!

I knew exactly who you were referring to as an old broad ... I call myself that all of the time. I love being this old. I think it took me this long to truly appreciate life and accept all of the ups and downs. I am happy that you are doing so well, Sylvia, you sure do deserve it. Your pictures are lovely and oh, how I would love some of that blue sky ... Be well, Sylvia ...

I agree with this and beauty is all around us if we just look.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
