A Christmas Wish for You All

I would just like to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone in this wonderful blogging world a Joyous, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Everything and the Happiest of New Years!

Since I began blogging in July of this year I have come to realize not only how much it has changed my life, how much it has added to my life, but that it has probably saved my life. I'm not trying to be overly dramatic, it's just that I had reached a place in my life where I never thought that I would be, and yes, I know, we all get old and probably none of us ever thought we would find ourselves where we are today. But blogging has not only brought the world to me, it has brought me to the world! I find that not only do I receive beautiful and marvelous blessings from people all over the world, but I am able to offer some of the same. It has brought excitement, knowledge, beauty and a better understanding of the world and its people.

So, to all of you out there in cyberspace, enjoy your holiday, make the most of every day -- be it a holiday or not. Lets celebrate the wonder of the world, of love, of friends, of ourselves.

Peace and love to you all!

Sylvia

You are so beautiful, Sylvia and I definitely share your sentiments a hundredfold. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Or... as they say in the islands, Mele Kalikimaka and a Hauoli Makahiki Hou!

Oh Sylvia that bought tears to my eyes. It came straight from the heart. I love visiting your blog, sharing your photos, your excellent writing and the funny jokes. I will be catching up with your novel in the holidays while I take a break from writing posts.

Have a great Christmas and I am hoping your son gets in on Christmas Day as planned and you all have a lovely holiday. Eat, drink and dance. I will catch you after Chrismtas some time. I am so glad I came across your blog! Thank you.

I am having trouble getting to sleep tonight, so I got up to see if any of my blog friends had added anything new. And here you are, with such beautiful thoughts, expressed with such beautiful words.
Peace and happiness to you too, Sylvia. You have given so much to your blog friends.

thanks for the sentiments. I enjoy blogging too and its been fun to now be teaching others how to blog...doesn't take long to become an "expert"-just have to know more than beginners. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Hold on to the hope that comes with the season...may it follow you into the new year.

Blogging has also changed my life. From writing bits and pieces on paper and shoving them in drawers, I now have a 'reading public'! (Of about thirty!) And I get such a kick out of reading other peoples' entries too. It's magic.

Hi Sylvia, I can only agree with everything you said in this post and if I'm honest in the vast majority of your posts. Thank you for your comments on my blog. I hope you have a very Happy Christmas and an even better New year. Love Kate x.

p.s. I sooo wish I was as good a wordsmith as you are, All the best.

Methinks you speak for a lot of us who are growing older and losing friends and family ... unable to travel the distances to get together that we once did. Like you, I'm grateful to have found wonderful 'bloggy' friends ... and feel blessed by the 'gifts' in this virtual world. You and your blog are such a gift. I'm sorry your kids won't be able to be with you as planned and hope you experience the joys of the season in tangible ways.

I can't find the post with the link to the wonderful musical Christmas message from Santa & his reindeer on the rooftop ... but I certainly enjoyed it and appreciate you sharing.
Hugs and blessings,

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
