That's My World -- More Seattle

Time to share your world with others from all around the world! That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise. Click here to sign up and join the fun!

I thought today I would share an overview of Seattle where there is so much beauty you could feature it nearly every week and not run out of places. These are some of my favorites.

The skyline is always lovely and varied depending on the angle. This one is looking across the harbor.

The Seattle City Center with the Space Needle in the background.

A view of Elliot Bay.

Ah, and a lovely waterfront restaurant!

Musicians playing in front of my all time favorite place -- Pike's Market!

And the last two shots were taken inside the Market. I never get enough of this place!

Seattle does look beautiful, Sylvia. But these photos were taken during the summer, right? So colorful!

Oh you really make me want to head for Seattle, Sylvia. I have always wanted to visit there and you are making it hard to resist.

Pike's Market reminds me of the famous Farmer's Market in Los Angeles.

What beautiful photos Sylvia! I really would love to visit Seattle one day. I have the most romantic notions when it comes to the city, all stemming from the famous 'Sleepless' film of course :)

Sylvia, I tried last night to leave two comments but Blogger was not being my friend. I'll try again and if no joy will have to give it up as a bad job! I was first converted to Seattle by Fraser Crane, and then by 'Sleepless'. I think I recognise Elliot Bay as the place where 'Sleepless' and son lived...? (Obviously I watch too much TV!) The cityscape is beautiful and the last shot in the market is great! One day I will make it to your lovely city!
Janice.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
