That's My World!

And how is your world this week? What is it about your world that you love, enjoy, wish you could change?? That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Click on the icon and share your world with others from all over Our World!

The weather in Seattle this week has been good, bad and everything in between, but there's always much to be grateful for and I am -- even though sometimes I have to look a little harder than usual! Hey, keeps me on my toes!

Life is like a ten-speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use.
~ Charles Schulz

When I was young I was called a rugged individualist. When I was in my fifties I was considered eccentric. Here I am doing and saying the same things I did then and I'm labeled senile. ~ George Burns

Life is nothing without friendship. ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero

While we are postponing, life speeds by. ~ Seneca

Everything has been figured out, except how to live. ~ Jean-Paul Sartre

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth. ~ Martin H. Fischer

For if there is a sin against life, it consists perhaps not so much in despairing of life as in hoping for another life and in eluding the implacable grandeur of this life. ~ Albert Camus

What a beautiful world you have. Delightful pictures; the snow-topped mountains look like they're floating above the clouds in the 5th one.

I somehow don't like sunsets.. :( but I love when the sun rises just behind the mountains and the sky looks just perfect...
Hope you had a lovely weekend..

As usual Sylvia you found so much of beauty to show us in your world and great quotes too. I love the turtles in a line on the log. I have taken similar shots of turtles on logs here in the water but the lighting is never good enough to get a shot like the one in this post. I love it.

The turtle shot is awesome! So is the rose. And of course, those sunsets are to die for.

You want to talk weather? The weather here has mainly been bad, bad and ... worse. This time last week the overnight low was 85°F. It's been obscene. We're finally supposed to get a break later this week (might get below 90° even!). I'm holding my breath and hoping. And staying inside as much as possible in the meantime.

Your turtles stole my heart. I haven't seen to many here this year. Maybe they migrated west? If they know about the sunsets and mountains (if they have seen your blog), yes!

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
