Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the icon and join us! Well, surprise, surprise, it was back to gray and gloomy this week! But it's July and USUALLY that's when the sun comes and hangs out for a while. So far no one seems to have informed the sun that it's July! But I did what I could with the few hours of sun that we had.

I caught this reflection of our deck and the trees across the alley, in the window over the stairway that leads to the basement.

And this is a reflection on the glass top table of some clouds and the folded umbrella -- obviously that wasn't needed!

And the colored reflection of a new vase -- empty of flowers for now, but not for long!

And last but not least, a glimpse of my favorite place at the park.

I've only starting taking reflection photos - such ordinary everday objects really do make great reflection photos. My favourite is the vase as in the reflection it seems to have gained quite a patina from the table top.

My submission is on my Centre of Interest photoblog

Very pretty, especially the umbrella one. I just may give this meme a try sometime - I've never done reflections before.

You did a wonderful job of capturing reflections, even if the sun didn't cooperate. I really like your favorite spot in the park.

You've got yourself a pretty area! We're wishing for the opposite - we want the gray clouds and wish the sun would hide behind them for a while.

Is your favourite place in the Park in Western Spring's in Auckland. It looks just like a mirror image. LOL

I just came over from Paul's post. We are both from the same place.

You are one busy and prolific blogger!
I was busy photographing parades and my husband and I have been editing into a movie. I'll let you know when it's up on You Tube-it's our local July 4th parade (so exciting).
But, I love the red, white and blue glass! Nice touch for SSS!
