Sky Watch Friday!

Another week, another marvelous look at skies from all over the world! Sky Watch Friday is hosted each week by Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise. Click here to sign up and share the beauty of your skies with us!

We've had beautiful weather the past few days, very warm, blue skies. But late in the afternoon on Monday some soft, pastel clouds began to move in and as the evening moved on and the sun dropped lower the colors became more vivid and voila! another beautiful sunset!!

This shot was taken of the same area, just fifteen minutes later. The shape of the clouds were almost identical, just the colors had changed, deepened.

And J is for Jacaranda tree! One of the loveliest trees that I found in Mexico when I lived in San Miguel de Allende.

And J is for Jump for Joy! Every day!
I'm adding this note because so many of you have commented on this shot -- I wish I could claim to have taken it, but a friend sent it to me and it was so perfect for the day, I just had to include it. Should have made that clear to begin with -- just assumed you guys would know that I'm not that good of a photographer!

Reminder for the Day!

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands..
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly.
Forgive quickly..
God never said life would be easy.
He just promised it would be worth it.

Shadow Shot Sunday!

Shadow Shot Sunday is delightfully hosted by Tracy at Hey Harriet and it's a great way to have fun with your camera -- well, actually it becomes more like an obsession, but I won't go into that right now! Just click here, sign up become obsessed like the rest of us!

I have a little of everything today. This first shot is in front of our house -- lovely natural tree shadows and high tech that invades everything these days. No, I'm not complaining -- I would have none of these toys without high tech! Just an observation!

This is a lamp post on the main street of the little town in Texas where my grandparents lived and where I spent my summers as a child. And, no, it didn't look exactly like this then -- it's been dressed up a a bit even though it isn't much larger than it was when I was little. They were having a street fair the day one of my cousins took this shot to send to me.

Last, but not least, my favorite color shadow along with a chair back -- I was rearranging furniture, had to stop and run get the camera.

Have a great day!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
