Welcome to ABC Wednesday and today we celebrate the letter "J". Click here to sign up and join us for the fun!

I found "J" in the beauty of nature and in music and in the animal world!
J is for Jasmine!

And for Jonquil!

This is amazing Sylvia I was thinking both Jazz and Jasmine but I didn't have any pictures. I love a nice Jasmine tea so I wanted to write about that.
Great choices and wonderful pictures Sylvia.

Pretty pussy. That's how I feel today. I'm with RuneE on this Jazz pic, it's nailed that atmosphere.

So that's what jasmine looks like! Not what I expected, but I think I was mentally seeing something more like a gardenia. Nice to know, now!

Good choices!

We've had spring blossoms for a while now - Bradford pear trees, buttercups or jonquils all over the place, crocuses, and the dogwoods and redbuds are almost there. We've had some days in the 70's, which make me feel better already.

Oh I love Jasmine and I love any kind of white fowers (lillys are my favourite funnily enough). J for me would be for my gorgeous daughter Jordan, he he. Great pictures too!

I was scratching my head for an "J" and you came up with four perfect "J". Is Jonquil the same as Narcissus? I have a picture of Narcissus (http://graceandbradley.blogspot.com/2009/01/daily-flower-4-flowers-from-chinese-new.html) just like your Jonquil.

So many gorgeous pieces of a nature!
Thank you!

Oh .. jasmine! It was always my favourite flower as a child. A small bush grew in the grounds of the London flat where I grew up and I often used to steal a tiny sprig to bring indoors and inhale the exquisite scent.

Sadly, I have yet to find a jasmine perfume which doesn't smell like cat's pee once it hits my skin!

Beautiful, beautiful. I absolutely adore the Jonquil! I am loving your "evening words, wisdom and beauty" as well. Are they always Kahlil Gibran quotes, or only recently?

Wow what stunning photographs, I particularly like the Jaguar - it looks blissful lounging along the branch dreaming of chasing dinner!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
