Shadow Shot Sunday and Pet Pride -- This Week

Shadow Shot is hosted each week by Tracy at Hey Harriet and it is both terrific fun and quite addictive! Click on her icon to sign up and get addicted with the rest of us!

With the busy Holiday weekend I'm combining Shadow Shot and Pet Pride this week. Shadows have been a bit scarce these days, but the dogs seem to be able to find them better than I do!!!

AND Pet Pride has the host with the most, Bozo from Mumbai! And you can click on his icon and let your pets show their stuff!

Mojo meditating in preparation for the Christmas feast! If you embiggen you can see why he's called Max the Tongue!

Max the Tongue is spending the Christmas holidays with us as his human friends are out of town and here are the three buddies enjoying some sunshine yesterday!

It was brilliantly sunny Christmas day and I couldn't resist a trip to beach below the harbor where I found this one.

This was kind of an interesting shot -- it was raining very hard and yet there were some shadowy reflections through the curtains and I loved being able to see the big raindrops!

And some color, of course!!

Max the Tongue...what a hoot! Scratchy's been busy on post, she caught two voles, one last night and one this morning...what a good mouser she is...tenacious!!!

It's still snow here, so going to work is out of the question, we'll just stay home and work, preparing for our new year strategies...never ending in retail!

Hope you have a wonderful new year ahead...see ya next year!

The doggies have a fine life here! The perfect bland of sun and shadow, the canines can be warm, but not too warm as they can move into a cooling shadow if desired. I'd say they enjoy a fine life of sun, shade and sleep!

I like them all.

Merry Christmas!

Love to see the dogs enjoying the sunshine and the blue bowls and their shadows are gorgeous! Happy weekend to you!

Gotta love Max the Tongue! You could slightly change the lyrics to Mack the Knife and you'd probably have a hit on your hands. I love the raindrops on your window - we are having very similar weather here in Brisbane, but extremely humid.

I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas and I look forward to your 2010 Shadow Shots.

You have a very nice blog and lot of great shots. Thank you for sharing:-)

Ps: It is not cold, we just dress for the weather. As we say here: There is no bad weather, just bad clothes

I am fascinated by your blue glass collection! You need to get them all in spot for a shadow shot! Of course, that would be an indulgence on my behalf!

The doggies are really enjoying soaking up the warm sunshine, Sylvia. I thought you might be lying right there by their side but I guess you were elected to take the photo :)))
I love your shadow shots too, especially the blue shadows on the window sill. I enlarged your lovely shot of the harbor and it is a beautiful view.

What wonderful photos. The dogs look like they are really enjoying the weather. How cute they all are. I love the photo of the rain. The reflections are just subtle enough to enhance the photo. Love it...Same with the blue bowls. Just wonderful my friend :)

Um, I'd just as soon not have a psychiatrist lick my face. Puppies are okay.

Sometimes I just hafta comment on something on your site other than the post.

Mojo and friend make lovely shadows. The rest are wonderful too, as are all of your photos, Sylvia.

There's nothing quite like a trip to the beach on Christmas.

At least, that's quite unlike anything I've ever done.

Cheers!

Your pups (and the visitor) are so sweet - sitting there together they look very happy and contented! I especially love that shot of the beach. How pretty it looks!

I'm guessing that Mojo is 'top dog' and doesn't like to share his bench space. He looks very regal sitting up there! I bet you served them up a delicious Christmas feast. They look like very pampered pooches. The beach shot is lovely, as is the rain one. Oh and of course you coloured glass photos are always a treat!

Best New Year wishes to you Sylvia!

Happy dogs in the sun. What could be a more pleasant sight? I love the blue glass shadows best, though all your shots are lovely.

love Sam, Max, and MoJo out there on the deck - such sweet boys

Wow - what a fantastic sunny day you guys had at Christmas! Love all the photos. We had lots of snow, but not much sun...

Carin said...

WOW wouldn't mind having been over at your place for Christmas! All that nice warm sun. Over here they called it a white Christmas, the first in 30 years! Outside the snow was slowly melting away and raining a little making it a very dreary day! So I wouldn't have called it a white Christmas but more a mucky Christmas!

How wonderful that your fur-kids help you find shadows like this! Love all the photos, but Max meditating is oh so kewl. Molly sez thanks for the lovely birthday visit and wishes at Happily Retired Gal ... she's one happy pooch all the time but is in her element this weekend especially. Thanks for visiting my Scenic Shadow mosaic at Sacred Ruminations ... ya know a day without shadows in Southern California at the beach is a rarity ;-)
Hope you enjoyed your Christmas!

I love Max and his tongue. How lucky he is to have you to watch over him while his peeps are away... he looks very contented.

A lovely collection of shadow shots this week. Alway love the colors:D

Ah yes, those beautiful color shadows. Like Dianne said, no one does them better.

Your canine friends look like they are enjoying the sun. They don't mind if they are surrounded by shadows~

Fun post as always. Thanks for stopping by, Sylvia.

Lovely shots, Sylvia. Our Christmas Day was bright too. Love the raindrops - it's good to find positive aspects to things that can sometimes seem rather dreary - and you have the happy knack of seeing them!

Great variety of shadows here! Love the doggie shadows! Always cute! But especially love the blue shadows in the last photo!
