MicroFiction Monday

>Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the icon to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.

This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.

And here's the picture for the day!

Why's Bro. John laying down to pray?
He said laying down put him closer to hell and he was inspired
to pray harder.
Hmm praying AND snoring?

Hi Silvia! Praying and snoring? What a combination... ;))

Sorry for the absence, but my computer broke down and I’ll be waiting a month for it to be fixed… ;-( Anyhow, I left you a post on the suburbs of Ephesus for you to enjoy. Have a great week!!

Sylvia, very true. We always say that when you're awake in the middle of the night someone needs prayer on the other side of the world. Of course, if I pray, the zzz's return. Sigh.

LOL!! It's so hard to keep one's eyes open when praying . . .

Sylvia, this is a unique take on the photo. It's amazing how each person has a different perspective. Yours is very funny.

I love this, Sylvia. (Like one of your commenters, I've dozed off while meditating. I suppose that's a form of prayer sleep!)

I love your photos on your post today (Monday). You are a skilled photographer.

Have a great week.

I have enjoyed some great Sunday sermons while snoring. For some reason my ears stay awake and listen. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

A seminarian told me that attendance at Mass was required each morning with the exception of Saturday. On Saturday they were allowed to pray privately in their rooms. It was called "horizontal meditation". Appears that Brother John follows that practice as well. :-)

Thanks for a fun one.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company.
