That's My World!

Time once again to share our worlds! What is wonderful, lovely, funny, interesting, sad, different about your world? That's My World is just the place for you to do just that. This fun meme is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me! Click on the icon, read/follow the directions and sign up to play! You'll be glad that you did!!

We really haven't had any weather to inspire me this week, I have to admit. It's been very rainy, very windy, very gray, but I did manage a few to share with you today. Hopefully, over next week we'll have some sun and I can get some better shots!

The poetry of the earth is never dead. ~John Keats

Earth laughs in flowers. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson,

To be overcome by the fragrance of flowers is a delectable form of defeat.
~Beverly Nichols

The violets in the mountains have broken the rocks. ~Tennessee Williams

If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Terri Guillemets

Bread feeds the body, indeed, but flowers feed also the soul. ~The Koran

And this is My World today and everyday!

Your world is so much better than mine!
This would be a good meme for me today when everything here in Casablanca seems to be against me.
I want out of this flat a-s-a-p!
This is noisy, people are pushing furniture instead of lifting them, slamming the doors, shouting...argh!
I want my life back!

I almost hate to tell you the weather I am enjoying - It makes me want to move out of Seattle. Maybe the sun will come out when I make it back.
Great pictures - the Lilacs are awesome,

As always, Sylvia, your particular perspective is so lovely. Nice to see that lilac blooming. We just planted a little one yesterday, and won't see any blossoms until next spring. I can't wait!

The snow capped mountains in the distance are so beautiful.

If it's gray and miserable, maybe you should photograph that, otherwise everyone will think you live in paradise.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
