That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Click on the icon and share your world with others from all over Our World! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for? Here are some of those things from my world today.

Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.
~ Hans Christian Andersen

Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you've never been hurt and live like it's heaven on Earth.

Reader, suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself. ~ Mark Twain

Some great quotes here Sylvia, and a butt-kicking hydrangea too (that is what that is, right?)

Always a pleasure... and yes, I'm profoundly grateful for the beauty in my life -- especially lately.

I joyously respond to your post. I send you not a little flower, but a lot of flowers to you. THANK you, dear Sylvia.

The blue flowers shot is my fave photo.

Speaking as a DC-area resident, I can tell you that Mark Twain definitely has a point. I wonder if he ever said anything about hydrangeas? Love your snaps!

great pictures, great words -- thank you! I particularly envy you your hydrangeas. If I get blossoms on mine, it is only one or two.

A beautiful and serene world you have! My grandmother had hydrangeas like that along one side of her house. And I love your shots of the harbor and sky.

Beautiful shots, I especially love the flowers. That's something I miss here in the dry high altitude, it's very difficult to grow anything like that.

Ciao Sylvia
la 3° foto mi è piaciuta molto.
Pensi che un giro in barca si possa fare, con questo caldo ?
Buona giornata :-))

The first shot is so well taken, lovely series.

The flowers are so pretty, in India we get them in hills mostly.

Thanks for stopping my to drop your line in at my blog this week. The marina in your pictures looks like a busy one. Ours is getting a complete overhaul this fall. In fact, every boat has to be removed before the work can begin. At least ours is small enough to put on a trailer. I'm not sure where all the larger boats are going to find a place to stay. - Margy

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
