Pet Pride

Hey, guys! It's time to join Bozo from Mumbai and show our stuff! Have your two-legged friend sign in here and let's have some fun!

My mom went to the Lavender Festival in Sequim, Washington and would you believe it! they had a pet sitting place where people could leave their pets while they visited the Lavender Farms! Now, I don't know about you, but frankly, I'm glad my mom left me at home! Who wants to spend the day in a strange place, in a CAGE!! I think Mom took these pics to show me so I wouldn't stay mad at her for going away for a whole day!! Look at these!!

There was a lady there at the festival that even had two llamas! I bet they were hoping no one wanted to ride them!

By the time I looked at these pics, all I wanted to do was crawl up in my rocking chair and go to sleep! What a life!

Staying home, sleeping in the recliner definitely beats spending the day in a cage!

Hi Sylvia, I enjoyed reading your post. May you have a blessed Sunday tomorrow. :)

You look very comfortable indeed in your chair!

I guess staying in that cage for a very short time would be OK, but not for a whole day! I know my dog would be more relaxed at home.. a cage would just stress him out.

I would have cried real loud if my Mom put me in that cage. I am glad you stayed home.

I guess the grass isn't always what it seems over there!

I'm glad you stayed at home too - there didn't seem to be a lot of shade in that place.
Really like your chair - very snazzy!

There's no place like home relaxing in a good rocking chair! Greqat photos!

Why would anyone take their pets to such a place? Poor things.

Sure you enjoyed the rocking chair comfortably.

Looks like a fun time, but I agree - why take your pet with you if you're just going to drop it off! And I love how they did that old Hollywood trick of putting the short llama on something to make them both the same height for their close-up shot -haha!

Molly agrees with you ... staying home is definitely better than spending time in a cage! You can see photos of her meeting up with fur-friends in today's post at Sacred Ruminations.
Hugs and blessings,

You have a very nice recliner all to yourself. Much better than a cage in the heat!

Oh Sylvia, I LOVE... Obviously it's the culture (like in the UK) to take your pets on outings. It's not done in South Africa. My dogs go for rides in my pick-up with me but only if I'm popping down to the cafe. I also take them for regular walks. Bot these are treats and they go mad with excitement. But when I drive out, and say "on guard now, girls" and "be good until mum returns" and they sit on the patio and watch me drive out the gate. Thanks for your most kind comments on my tribute to my darling West African baby, Mandu. Hugs Jo

Hi Sam - wise choice of your mom to leave you at home, much more comfy and relaxing for you. We just LOVE that last photo of you snoozing in the chair - ah, it's a tough life for a Schnauzer eh?! Tail wags - JD and Max.

We have 3 dogs, a puppy and two older ones. No way would they go for being caged if we took them on an outing. If we ever did that they would drive everyone crazy crying and carrying on. Better off at home, that's for sure.

Well I would love to have Lamas as a pet! MB

There are so many reasons to stay home, and this is certainly one of the best.

We wouldn't have liked it in those cages either.

You look very comfy there on your chair. :-)

Crazy ! the poor dogs ! I read about a shopping mall where they had a "kindergarten" for husbands, but that looked nicer, there was a bar, a TV and nice chairs, lol !

Interesting pet sitting area. I guess that's how you keep dogs out of the lavender patch. Could we do that with kids, do you think?
