H is for Harbor!
Five minutes from our house and one of my favorite places!

H is for Hummingbird!

And, last but not least, H is for Hatha yoga -- and this is the doggie version!

You have such a beautiful scenic view from just a short distance from your house. Can't say the same for my place. When I step out, all I see are houses. LOL.

Hi Sylvia, I can see why the harbor is one of your favorite places. I love the hummingbird picture and who would'nt love the cute yoga dog. :-)

Love them all! Especially the down dog pose! And, did you take that fabulous photo of the hummingbird? Wow...

Paula -- a close friend of mine took the hummingbird shot in his garden and I'm amazed every time I look at it. Not sure I'll ever be that good of a photographer!

Great pics for a Tuesday that feels like a Monday. Dogs do have their own form of yoga, especially my 10 yr old terrier Duncan, he prefers to do his moves in the sun in the morning hours.

Happy day - a harbor, a hummingbird, and a hatha yoga dog. Hurrah for H's.

These are gorgeous photos! But what I would really like to comment on is your post of Sept.6, "Another Vietnam". Thank you, thank you for writing about what I have been so deeply concerned about!

Yes, I sometimes think I need updating on the alphabet. It is fun, though, thinking of how the letters fit with things to post. It's a beautiful scene!

I especially like the hatha yoga pose. My dog has learned to do this bow on the command of "Bravo!" Now I'm inspired to to teach him some other yoga poses.

I like the boats in the marina. We have a lot of those in Auckland too. You were spot on with the humming bird.

You mention that you take Tai Chi classes. Do you teach? I won't be a good student. For many years, in Singapore, my girl friends and I (ex pat wives) did Tai Chi every morning. We talked at the same time, and our husbands said we were exercising our jaws. I don't do it now in New Zealand as the jaw exerise meant I didn't really know the steps.

Thanks very much for visiting.

Ann :)

What a beautiful view you have! Having recently returned from Oregon, I think the Northwest has some of the most scenic areas in the U.S. The hummingbird photo is amazing! I've been trying all summer to get just one good photo:)

Where have you been hiding that enormodome marina? It gives a totally new feel to that hill of yours.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
