ABC Wednesday - P!

So, how good are you with the alphabet? Each week Mrs. Denise Nesbitt hosts a fun meme called ABC Wednesday. It's great fun and challenges you to find fun words to match the letter of the day. And today the letter is P! Click on the icon and sign up to play with us today!

My first P is for the Pacific Ocean!

And P is for Portland, Oregon!

P is for Penguins!

P is for Partying! This time with my son's band!

And P is for Pansies, beautiful, colorful Pansies!

Your son has a band? Which one is your son and what kind of music do they play? Great outfits - disco?

I don't know which P I Prefer!! Your son's band looks great. The boys all look like each other! The Pacific is an ocean I had seen several times in my life and I love Pansies.

Sylvia, you make P look good! LOL I don't think we have penguins here though we're north of you; we do have puffins however. That's P. LOL

I'd like to paddle in the Pacific, your photo looks so inviting, as does the peak in portland.

The Pacific is a perfect choice for this week! I have to ask you where you were standing to take the photo of Portland. It looks much like one I took from the Japanese Gardens there. But you have a much better capture of Mt. Hood. Great post!

I always thought I could live in Portland, though in fact I've never been to Oregon. Phine photographs.

I love the band photo!
Oregon...sigh. How is it possible that I miss a place so much that I have only seen for a few days.

A lovely selection for P - I particularly like the Pacific and the pansies.

Perfect Pacific and pansies. I lived for several years in Portland and absolutely loved it. But I can't remember a place I didn't care for. Your son's band looks wonderful - is there a place we can hear his music? So you have a musical son and a dancing daughter. How perfect is THAT!

Tumblewords: Thanks for stopping by and for your very sweet comments, much appreciated. My son plays in the band several evenings a week at different clubs around the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas. During the day he works as a graphic design artist for Fossil. But the band is strictly a local thing and all of them have another job -- the music is mostly for fun, although it does pay quite well.

Have a great evening!

Sylvia

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
