Shadow Shot Sunday!

Hooray! Time to play with the shadows again! Shadow Shot Sunday is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the icon, sign up and become addicted to shadows along with the rest of us!!

We actually had some sun this week! Not a lot, a few hours a day, here and there, but enough to catch a few shots.

Here's Madame Mojo the Most and me caught looking for snacks in the kitchen!

A happy African Violet, a touch of blue and a pitcher just waiting to water something -- anything!

Depending on the angle of the sun at any given time during the day, the shadows get larger or smaller and the same shadows will appear in different places -- table, wall or reflections in the window!

When I went out on the deck I saw this bucket full of rainwater and it had it's own set of shadows!

I can relate to the search for snacks! Nice job of shadow hunting, and your African Violet is gorgeous!

Mojo was treated to treats, right? The friendly canine is a happy companion...The plants (and pitcher) are well defined yet delicate. The large amount of rainwater in the bucket is nearly overwhelming - but as impressive is the shadow. Wonderful weekly shadows!

You take the best shadow shots!

Very fine shadow pictures, Sylvia.
Beautiful compositions!

I smiled at the shadow of you snack-seekers!

That African violet is beautiful. Your thumb is greener than mine, Sylvia. But I keep trying.

Nice series of shadow shots.

Have a fun weekend!

Ooh, I like the violets. They're all a bit chilling and unsettling.

Hi Sylvia - you often say you have 'nothing' and then you produce the most amazing and imaginative shots - and you've done it again! Fantastic! Have a lovely weekend (can't quite think where you are in the GMT scheme of things . . . )

Blessed sun, that's what make shadows. Not much of that around here.

All wonderful! I particularly like you and Mojo hunting for snacks, but all are really lovely.

You have great collection of shadows Ms. Sylvia. Have a great weekend too!

Dreary skies make shadow hunting a tad more of a challenge than when the sun shines. LOL But I see you accepted the mission...and it was possible. :)

Great shadow shots, love the one of you and Madame Mojo the Most, and also the ones where the pots show as shadows on the wall. All of them were great though. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Looking for snacks is my favourite! You look like a good team.

I'm also amazed your violet is still going strong -- every one I ever had died on me.

Love the shadows this week Sylvia and your comment at the beginning has given me the idea of making a flicker book with a time lapse kind of idea of shadows moving through the day. May have to wait for the summer for that though as the sun has not shown itself much this week!

Simply beautiful....happy SSS!

Hi Sylvia, The first one is my favorite! What a loyal friend patiently waiting for a morsel!

Lucky you with that sunshine.

How wonderful that you had sunshine! Ya know we didn't ... but we do need the rain (just not so much all at once). The sun did come out today but we're in for more rain next week. Thanks for dropping by.
Hugs and blessings,

You must be so pleased to have had aome sun this week! That first one of you and Mojo is so cute! That's an image I can well relate to, as my dog Sophie follows me into the kitchen with hopes of receiving litle treats each time. I usually cave in but I must be strong and cut back because her belly has expanded too much lately. With the horrid heat we've been having recently, poor Sophie can't walk as far. So the shortened walks and the extra treats are not a great combination right now!

Great shadows of you and Mojo. I really like the jar shadows, too.

I was so happy to see yellow buckets. I have no idea why.

You certainly have the knack of finding the most wonderful shadows around the house. I do hope Mojo was rewarded with a snack - but not so the lion in your earlier blog! My husband and I had tears rolling down our cheeks.
