Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

The butterfly counts not months but moments, And has time enough.
- Rabindranath Tagore

Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark.
- Rabindranath Tagore

Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf.
- Rabindranath Tagore

Your friend is your needs answered.
Kahlil Gibran

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.
Kahlil Gibran

When you make a world tolerable for yourself, you make a world tolerable for others.

I love your "words, wisdom and beauty" posts. They are so relaxing. I especially like the beautiful purple blooms and the last photo of the silhouettes and sunset - just lovely!

Hi i am new here. The blue photos are really fabulous, nice compositions, however i prefer that the hydrangea is the blue color also and not the pink to be in the theme. I particularly love your reference to Kahlil Gibran who is also my favorite, long ago. I still remember "we have to be patient with 2 or more catterpillars if we want to be acquainted with the butterflies". That's his!

Hi ~ Beautiful words and photos as always. I love the second picture which shows the tree branches looking down at the water with the incredibly blue sky in the background. I could get lost in those branches!

Your first quote is the one that I use at the end of my gmails. The other two are also favorites from Tagore. Your photos are always so lovely.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
