Evening, Wisdom, Beauty and Celebration!

First of all this evening I want to wish all my Jewish friends a very Happy Hanukkah!

Attitudes are contagious. Are yours worth catching? ~Dennis and Wendy Mannering

If you don't get everything you want, think of the things you don't get that you don't want. ~Oscar Wilde

The pursuit of happiness is a most ridiculous phrase: if you pursue happiness you'll never find it. ~C.P. Snow

Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling. ~Margaret Lee Runbeck

Wonderful! Several quote/authors I'm not familiar with -- I've made notes to look them up. The methphor about happiness/travel really resonated at this particular time.

I really like Wilde's quote:
"If you don't get everything you want, think of the things you don't get that you don't want."
That is so true when you think about it.

I just love that white rose photo! Whenever I take white flower photo, it comes out flat. This rose is soft and velvety and just beautiful.

Beautiful, as always.
I love the lone walker, seen from the perspective of the trees above.

I have a pretty good attitude and although it may be contagious but I am thinking that my co-workers seem to have gotten the vaccine.

I enjoy reading the quotes you select, Sylvia. So often you time them perfectly with whatever is going on in my life. ;-)

If Jefferson and C.P. Snow were contemporaries, wonder if they'd have duelled over the pursuit of happiness.

Beautiful scenery and shots, and I love the soft light of the menorah.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
