Pet Pride!

Hey guys, get up off your tush and lets go see Bozo over at his pad in Mubai! It's always a fun time when we all get together and talk about what's been happin', Bro! You know? Get you human to click on The Man's pic and sign you up! We'll be waiting for you!!

Oh, man, Mojo was gone with her Dad for nearly the whole weekend and she has slept ever since they got home and I'm SO bored!

I loved being with Dad all weekend, but I HATED riding in the car all the way to Portland and back! I'm still car sick!!

Shadow Shot Sunday!

Get out the magnifying glass, get into your best sleuthing clothes and start prowling your environment looking for those wonderful, but sometimes elusive shadows. This fun and challenging meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the icon, sign up and show us how clever you are!

Oh, it was gorgeous here yesterday and I was looking forward to doing lots of shadow chasing and then, wouldn't you know it, I began to have computer connectivity issues that went on for most of the day and it cut my camera fun time down considerably! But I got a few shots -- hope you don't get bored with different versions of some of the same stuff!! Hopefully, next week will be better!

First is Sir Sam!

And there was quite a gathering at the duck pond! I suspect it was a political rally! And I think the one duck in the water is telling the others what he thinks of their politics! Oh, and I do so relate!!

Colorful fish that came to swim in my kitchen window!

Then I saw some of my favorite toys had grown quite tall in the late afternoon sun!

This past week it's been chilly and gray until early afternoon and then we suddenly have blue, blue skies and few if any clouds at all and it's lovely! So, I wandered around in the afternoons visiting my favorite places -- as you can see!

Beautiful sunset reflections!

And the pond.

Reflection of where I spent one afternoon on our deck with a book and a colorful bottle of water!

And the skies have been as just as varied, offering breathtaking views of all kinds!! I love where I live!!

Thought for the Evening

While you are judging, you cannot love. While you are loving, you cannot judge.

Being happy has nothing to do with how much you have, and everything to do with how grateful you are for what you do have.
~ Lee Jampolsky

Happy Birthday, Thom!!! Pfffftt!

To my good friend, Thom, whom I happen to know hates birthdays -- although he's very good at celebrating other peoples! Besides, when you get to be as old as I am believe me, you're grateful you're still around to celebrate one! So, I'm thumbing my nose at him and celebrating his birthday anyway!! Hey, that's what friends are for!!!

This is for you, Thom! You WON'T see cutesy little smiley faces on this post,
just the stone cold truth of how I feel about friendship.
1. When you are sad, I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!
2. When you are blue, I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile, I will know you are plotting something that I
must be involved in.
4. When you're scared, we will high tail it out of here.
5. When you are worried, I will tell you horrible stories about how
much worse it could be until you quit whining, ya big baby!!!!
6. When you are confused, I will use little words.
7. When you are sick, Stay away from me until you are well again
because I don't want whatever it is that you have!
8. When you fall, I'll pick you up and dust you off--After I laugh!!!
9. This is my oath...I pledge it to the end.

'Why?' you may ask;-- because you're my great friend, of course!!

And while you're a long way from us old AARP'ers, this is the eye chart to look forward to when you have your eyes checked for those new glasses!

Are you squinting yet!! Woot!

And here's the picture for the day!

All I asked for was a cup of coffee! What is this? Tell me, honestly, do I
look like some kind of bug to you? Never mind, forget I asked!!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
