For This Weekend Only - Weekend Reflections, Shadow Shot Sunday and Pet Pride!

Well, unfortunately I'm not going to be able to go camping this weekend after all and I am, of course, disappointed. But some back problems made me decide I would be better off remaining at home -- don't want to push my luck. So, this week only I will combine my reflections, shadows and pets. Hope you all have a terrific weekend! Enjoy!

I thought we were going camping! What happened?

You are going, silly! It's Mom and I who are staying home! Darn it!

It's been a great week, a great year and a great birthday yesterday! And I thank all of you for helping make my every day beautiful! We're going camping this weekend to Whidbey Island and I hope to be able to get some wonderful photos to share with you. May you all have a beautiful, fun weekend! Our skies weren't particularly dramatic or colorful this week, but the clouds were interesting.

Thank You for a Beautiful Birthday!

My friend in India who created my header, sent me a lovely birthday wish! My friend, Thom, had beautiful wishes for me on his blogsite last evening and there have been good wishes from so many blogging friends.

I was never that concerned about celebrating my birthday, just another day, another year although far too many by this time! But I have been overwhelmed by all the beautiful messages, thoughts, posts that have wished me such a Happy Birthday! Thank you! Each and everyone of you. You have no idea what this has meant to me!

Peace, Love, Happiness to each and everyone of you!

I lost my connection to the internet for 5 hours today, so I'm late getting to everyone. My apologies!

Susan at Stony River
Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the icon to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.

This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.

And here's the picture for the day!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
