In spite of some chilly, rainy, windy days lately, we have mostly enjoyed more summery weather and I do love the colors and shadows I see around me. It has been a really busy few days and I'm running behind. I may be a little late visiting your blogs, but I will get there. I've had to depend on my library this week and  a couple of shots that I caught at the apartment on one of our lovely sunny days!! Yes, we have had some more sunny ones  -- although today the high was 68!!! Cloudy, rainy, and downright chilly! Isn't this July??? Or have I missed something???

As I looked up at our skies yesterday and they were so peaceful and beautiful, I couldn't help but wonder how and why there is so much hatred in the world. I have always looked and prayed for peace not only in my own life/world, but for all the world and all of its people and I will continue to do so. Little Humor for Wednesday!

Italian  Tomato Garden… 

An old Italian lived alone in  New Jersey .  He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard. 

His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison.  The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament: 

Dear Vincent, 
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over.  I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.

A few days later he received a letter from his son. 

Dear Pop, 
Don't dig up that garden. That's where the bodies are buried. 
Love, 
Vinnie 

 At 4 a.m. The next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.  That same day the old man received another letter from his son. 

Dear Pop, 
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I could do under the circumstances.

ABC Wednesday - Z!

But we can make a trip to the Zoo, visit the Zebras and have some Zucchini for lunch! And, yes, I had to totally depend on Sir Google today for Zucchini, Zoo and Zebra!
