We've had our usual mix of rain and sun on an hourly basis, but I managed to catch a couple of pretty good shadow shots at my new place, plus some from last weeks trip to Bellevue.

So, what happened?? It rained the entire time we were there! But I got a couple of shots anyway.  The first one shows you how gray it was!  And then while I was waiting for the bus to come get us, I saw these reflections in the building across the street, not particularly stunning -- but????

Yep! I'm a Senior Citizen!

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others.

HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took:The melody out of music, The pride out of appearance, The courtesy out of driving, The romance out of love, The commitment out of marriage, The responsibility out of parenthood, The togetherness out of the family, The learning out of education, The service out of patriotism, The Golden Rule from rulers, The nativity scene out of cities, The civility out of behavior, The refinement out of language, The dedication out of employment, The prudence out of spending, The ambition out of achievement. And we certainly are NOT the ones who eliminated patience and tolerance from personal relationships and interactions with others!!YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN! On Wednesday I'll be making a trip to the Seattle Waterfront and hope to get some good pics of another part of my world, but the weekend has been gray and rainy so I'm going to share a few more pics from my trip last week to Bellevue. As I mentioned before, I was amazed not only at the beauty of the park where we were, but the numerous skyscrapers! Before moving here I lived in a part of Seattle known as Ballard and while it's close to the water and lovely, the area itself looks like a neighborhood out of the 50s! So, Bellevue was quite a surprise!
