I hope you are all enjoying Fall's arrival! As usual we've had a little of it all weather wise, but the temps are still pretty mild and we still have lots of color everywhere!!  Enjoy your weekend!!

Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring.

Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us!

The second pic was taken from a tour bus I was on a few weeks back and if you look closely you can see the reflection of the bus driver's hands on the wheel. Looks like he's driving through the water! I had no idea I had caught these reflections until I started going through some photos yesterday. I thought it was kind of cool!  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but, scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.

Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by  the Sky Watch team of  Sandy, Wren and me. And this week as every week, we remember Klaus and know that he joins us in spirit! Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! We have had a little of everything this week -- once again! From driving rain, and dark, brooding skies, to gorgeous sunsets, and fantastic cloud formations and blue skies and, of course, all of those are the backdrop for the changing colors! It has been beautiful!

Hope you all have a wonderful week with lots of love and laughter and beauty!!

Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

Toliet Seat Chuckle -- Be Careful Where You Sit!

THE TOILET SEAT
Charlie's wife, Lucy, had been after him for several weeks to paint the seat on their toilet.
Finally, he got around to doing it while Lucy was out. After finishing,
he left to take care of another matter before she returned.

She came in and undressed to take a shower. Before getting in the shower, she sat on the toilet. As she tried to stand up, she realized that the not-quite-dry epoxy paint had glued her to the toilet seat.

About that time, Charlie got home and realized her predicament.

They both pushed and pulled without any success whatsoever.

Finally, in desperation, Charlie undid the toilet seat bolts.
Lucy wrapped a sheet around herself and Charlie drove her to the hospital emergency room.
The ER Doctor got her into a position where he could study how to free her (Try to get a mental picture of this.).

Lucy tried to lighten the embarrassment of it all by saying, "Well, Doctor, I'll bet you've never seen anything like this before."

The Doctor replied, "Actually, I've seen lots of them......I just never saw one mounted and framed."

And the shot for the day!

We've had some gray, chilly mornings and some rain, but we've had some sun and blue skies, too! Still, it is time for flowering plants to come inside for the winter, the leaves on the trees are turning brilliant colors and the sun sets earlier in skies that appear all too ready to say goodnight!  I had posted the leaf last night, but so many commented about it I thought I'd add it to todays post. I found it on my way home from the store yesterday and the colors were so incredible that I couldn't leave it lying in the street!

Hope you all had a great week!  Enjoy!

Woo Hoo! Hey! Can you see me?
I have a new bedroom! All my own! Well, I sleep there during the day, but sleep with Mom at night -- I don't want her to get lonely!! But now I can hide out during the day and still keep watch! Pretty cool, huh?

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
