Pet Pride!

Hey guys! Shake it up! Time to get on over to Bozo's pad in Mumbai and check out what's going on this weekend! Have your human click on Bozo's picture and sign you in and let's see what's been happening this week!

Things have been kind of dull around here this past week, no neighborhood doggie parties and Mojo and I just sulked around the house, hoping someone would come up with something fun for us to do!

No one seemed to even care although Mom did get us a couple of rawhide chewies, but you know those don't last very long!

Then Mojo started talking about Izzie and last summer! And how much fun they had!

Well, as usual for this time of year, shadows are sometimes hard to come by and as the winter slowly moves along I find myself longing for a little more sunshine so I can have more shadows to play with. But what the hey! we make do with what we've got!

Here's then ....

And now .....

Sam Schnauzer enjoying a day at the beach ....

Madame Mojo gazing at her shadow ....

Sir Sam grabbing a few zzzz's in some unexpected sunshine!

And my always favorite bits of color!

Enormous, huh?

Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. ~Kahlil Gibran

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it. ~Confucius

As we grow old, the beauty steals inward. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Wisdom is the abstract of the past, but beauty is the promise of the future. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes

Beauty isn't worth thinking about; what's important is your mind. You don't want a fifty-dollar haircut on a fifty-cent head. ~Garrison Keillor

The moon is like a mystery novel, the sun like a motivational self-help book, and the stars a coffee table book of photography. The sky is the whole library, and God the librarian. ~Pepper Giardino

The last picture(show)

She sits
by the window,
lost in
the memories
of life as a little girl
who played
thieves and robbers
with her brother....

Some other
thieves and robbers
have today
stolen
her future,
as she sits,
swaddled
head to toe
in black,
a veiled life.

The eyes dart
sensing
a sliver of light
as
she rubs her eyes
darkly enclosed....
No one is around,
just she herself
and
a dark, cloudy
sympathetic sky.

Quiet,
into the night,
the clouds smile and part,
the moon beckons,
swimming in an ocean
of grey;
She lifts the veil
slightly ,
smiles, and
feasts her eyes
on the stars;
Life must change,
for
she has seen
the guiding light
in a dark sky........

Sky Watch Friday!

Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and myself. Click on the icon, sign up and join the hundreds of people from all over the world who share their beautiful skies each week. Please do read and follow the directions before signing in.

Our skies were pretty much in keeping with this time of year -- more gray than color, more plain and ordinary, but then that is what makes the flaming skies all the more appreciated when they do put in an appearance. Still, there's something very peaceful about the skies I caught last evening. Click to embiggen and see more detail.

“Nature is a mutable cloud which is always and never the same.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Lord, I have loved Your sky,
Be it said against or for me,
Have loved it clear and high,
Or low and stormy
-Robert Frost (1874–1963)

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. Rabindranath Tagore

“The Sky is the daily bread of the imagination” Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of Heaven.” John Lubbock

A hug delights and warms and charms,
that must be why God gave us arms.

A hug is worth a thousand words. ~Author Unknown

Can you tell that I'm longing for spring???

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
