Shadow Shot Sunday!

Get out the magnifying glass, get into your best sleuthing clothes and start prowling your environment looking for those wonderful, but sometimes elusive shadows. This fun and challenging meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the link under the blog title and sign up to play!! Nothing really special with the shadows for today -- just a reminder to me and you that we do have sunshine in Seattle and it does make the beautiful things gorgeous! Have a beautiful, wonderful weekend!
Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of the mind than on outward circumstances.

"Hi Mom, How are you?"

"Hi Sally, where are you? I thought you were with your father at the Ace Hardware"

"Yeah we were, but I got arrested, and they've let me make one phone call"

"What happened?"

"Oh, I punched this African-American woman in the head."

"What on earth?! Why did you do that?!"

"Well it wasn't my fault. Dad told me to find a Black & Decker."

That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Join us and share your world with others from all over Our World! Just click on the post title, read the rules, sign up and play with us! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for?

As some of you know, I'm not a shopper, but I always hope that the trips each week will provide some photo ops -- even at malls and here in Seattle I haven't been disappointed. This past week we went to an outlet mall that shares an area with one of the many casinos here. I spent about fifteen minutes in the outlet mall -- which was the biggest I've even seen!!! Then I headed outside to take a look at the surrounding area and I wasn't disappointed! Can you believe that even a McDonalds had a lovely outside eating area with a fountain!!! Ah, Seattle!! And the last couple of shots today were taken at home as I get more settled in.

Hope you all have a wonderful week filled with love and laughter -- and, yes, I do know that it is getting harder to find a great deal to laugh about, but it's always worth the effort!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
