Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the icon and join us! Sunshine has been really scarce again this week, and of course, once it did come out again on Thursday, I had no car! Oh, I know, whining and complaining doesn't help the situation at all, so here's what we have for today.

Some colored reflections in the window in the breakfast nook.

Then it was back to my watery favorites! Love those upside down ducks!

Of course, this one is a favorite, although I'm not sure if I posted it before or not, but I think it's so cute that you wouldn't mind seeing it again! Those white spots almost look like eyes -- keeping watch on the backside maybe??

And those soft, watery tree reflections!

The water reflections are very dreamy. The two ducks side by side are really cute - looks like it should be on a poster.

Hi Sylvia, I think ducks are the funniest of birds. They are so charming in their widdle-waddle ways. We have lots of them out at the ponds and lakes around campus. They are an endless source of amusement.

I wish we could trade some of our sunshine for your rain. We're having a bad drought over here. In fact, I'd better get out and do some watering. Have a great day!

Beautiful reflections, Sylvia! The glass reflections are pretty but by now you must know I am partial to the birds. So those duck shots are wonderful. Love the butts up shot.

Hi Sylvia,
What a pleasure to meet you over at my blog and to pay you a visit in return. I do love the shot of the coloured glass in the window in particular and marvel at how clean the window pane is! I'm a sucker for water reflections as well: so other-worldlike.

Great observation about the "eyes" in back of ducks. Maybe they serve a warning function, like the big spots on butterfly wings. Neat reflections.

Like so many others, I love the two ducks sitting on a log. It makes me think that they've spent a good long life together, just sitting, just quacking, just taking it all in.
