That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Click on the icon and share your world with others from all over Our World! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for? Here are some of those things from my world today.

All my life through, the new sights of Nature made me rejoice like a child.
Marie Curie

Nature is the art of God. ~ Dante Alighieri

The poetry of the earth is never dead. ~ John Keats

Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. ~ Rachel Carson

Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it. ~ Mark Twain

Very nice, Sylvia! Love the roses, especially.

BTW, have I ever told you that my younger sister's name is Sylvia? Lovely name!

Are they your roses, Sylvia? I love that color of melon/orange. The sunset is spectacular - you're lucky to be so close to the water.

Barb and Ewok, the roses belong to a neighbor across the alley from us, they're just growing all over the fence and even into a nearby tree. It's been hard to capture them because we've had such strong breezes and several of my shots were just too blurry. But every now and then I get lucky. They are such a lovely peach/blush color!

Thanks for stopping by! Always appreciated!

Wonderful shots as always, Sylvia. It looks like you still have some snow on your mountains. It's almost all gone from mine, although there was a fresh coat a couple of weeks ago.

Stunning pictures as always -- Beautiful summer in the PNW! Love the Marie Curie quote. Somehow I never thought of scientists taking such great, child-like pleasure in the outdoors and nature. Guess I need to read a bio of her!

Is there still snow on the mountains in the first picture ? then they must be quiet high !
Love the roses too !

I'm glad you've got such pretty skies lately Sylvia, and beautiful views!

Meanwhile I'm *still* trying to find a good few minutes to just sit down and chat a while without kids making noise or needing me -- school starts in just a few weeks and I think that might be perfect timing for it!
