That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Join us and share your world with others from all over Our World! Just click on the post title, read the rules, sign up and play with us! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for?  Wish I could say that we've had lots of sun and warm temps, but I'd be lying if I did! So, as with some of the other memes I participate in, I'm having to look backwards for the beauty of My World!! And, of course, a little wisdom from Will Rogers!! He and Mark Twain did manage to see Our World with great clarity and humor! We could all use that!
So live that you wouldn't be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip.
Will Rogers

The difference between a Republican and a Democrat is the Democrat is a cannibal they have to live off each other, while the Republicans, why, they live off the Democrats.
Will Rogers

Take the diplomacy out of war and the thing would fall flat in a week.

I understand it has been a bit damp in your part of the world. We had a beautiful blue sky day yesterday but your gray is now headed our way, again!

Lovely photos - they make me homesick for summer! Love the quotes, too. I've always liked Will Rogers ever since I was a youngster attending Will Rogers Elementary School. (Also attended Mark Twain Junior High!)

Have a great Monday!

I think it's nice to look back and recall all the blessings we've received in days gone by. I really like that first quote from Will Rogers.

Sylvia, Turtles are creatures I rarely bump into in BC. The creature is a delightful part of your collage of sky, land and sea.

Sylvia, thanks for sharing a bit of sun! Many of us are already yearning for days like those captured in your photos. Today was a lovely day here, though, and I'll take that, for now. :)

A gorgeous collage masterfully coupled to sage words. We won't be seeing any turtles now until spring so I appreciate seeing yours as a reminder of summer's heat.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
