Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren and me. Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the address under the post title to be taken to the SWF website where you can sign up.
Over the past week we've had a little of everything from pouring rain to sun and cloudless blue skies and some beautiful clouds as well. The photos on each side were sunsets in between rain storms this week and taken from my office window. The top and bottom shots in the center were taken of the lovely skies in Bellevue last Friday and the one in the center -- if you look really hard, you will see Mt. Rainier slowly awakening to the world this morning, still wrapped in her blanket of clouds and sharing a lovely moment with me as I stood on the roof deck, thinking how blessed I am to be surrounded by so much beauty.
May you all have a beautiful, joyful weekend!
Every man builds his world in his own image. He has the power to choose, but no power to escape the necessity of choice.

Blue skies for us today but between the stormy skies and the blue skies we had some wonderful blue with scattered clouds, the best skies for the photographer.

What a beautiful collage Sylvia!
Your new place sure does afford a gorgeous view.
My dear departed brother-in-law loved Mt. Rainier. I can still 'hear' him talk about it.
You have a wonderful upcoming weekend and let's hope we both see some sunny skies.

Wonderfully done, Sylvia! May I say I'm slightly jealous? ;-) Here in The Netherlands we only have "the Dutch Mountains"; tall appartment -buildings at the edge of town...

Have a good weekend!

This is a beautiful collage, Sylvia. When we lived in Puyallup, we could see Mt. Rainier from our back porch. Could there possibly be a more beautiful mountain? (Well, maybe up in the Organ Mountains that I see now from my house now!). Thank you for these lovely views.

Beautiful collage, Sylvia. Mount Rainier is breath-taking. A couple of years ago we were driving from Port Townsend to Seattle to pick up our son and his family, and as we came around a curve in the freeway, suddenly we saw Mt. Rainier ahead on the right and I gasped at its majesty. I had never seen it from the ground, just once before from the sky. It is awe-inspiring!

You have a kaleidoscope of skies, Sylvia!

SKY DITTY

A little birdie told me,
Although I don’t know why,
That if I were to look up,
Way up into the sky,
I’d see some wondrous planets,
The moon and sun and stars –
There before my very eyes
Blazed Jupiter and Mars!

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company.
