That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Join us and share your world with others from all over Our World! Just click on the post title, read the rules, sign up and play with us! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for?

I seriously dislike shopping and avoid malls like the plague, however, one of our trips last week was to Redmond and I had never been there and hoped perhaps I would discover another lovely park like I did in Bellevue earlier.  Well, there was no park, but I have to admit the Redmond Town Center was a delightful place even if you don't like to shop!!  So, today I'm taking you on a tour of the Town Center! I did have a delicious, reasonably priced lunch and bought a book -- I do like Borders. The remainder of the time there was taking pictures. Hope you enjoy them!

If you have to shop (I hate shopping, too), that looks like a lovely place to do it!

Hi Sylvia,

I'm like you ... shopping isn't fun unless I'm really in the mood, and that is only about twice a year. But, I'm always in the mood for taking pictures.

I love all these shots ... they are wonderful.

Thanks so much for stopping by to say hi. I won't be blogging for most of this week (after tomorrow), so I'll miss some of our regular parties, and YOU!

Have a wonderful week,

Kathy M.

I really like the bronzes although shopping is not my favourite thing. Actually, it is my least favourite thing.
Great architectural shots Sylvia.

Have a great week!

Umbrellas always seem to grab my attention, Sylvia. I love the top photo with the series of table umbrellas and the single one at center of a photo over the witty quote. Although serious if true, I couldn’t help smiling imagining the baby with a hammer.

I don't like shopping, either, but this sure looks like a nice place to do it if it's necessary (and Borders makes it a whole bunch better).

Shopping malls provide plenty of opportunities to photograph though. :)

All the best Sylvia!

I hate shopping and avoid malls too, Sylvia. But it looks like you made the best of what could have been a bad day. :)

My husband and I LOVE Redmond Town Center! It's one of the few malls that we enjoy shopping at and it's also a wonderful place to meet friends for coffee. In fact, we were just there about two weekends ago. :)
I think being outside, but still sheltered makes all the difference. It's pleasant to shop with the fresh air all around you, rather than the cloying scents of perfumes and plastic that seem to override all other senses when inside most shopping centers.

I don't like malls either but it is nice when they have incorporated gardens and fountains like this one. Love your quotes.

Me too on the shopping, but sometimes ya gotta' do it and its better in a lovely place like this. Plus on the bus you don't have to worry about losing your car in the massive parking lot (Not that I would know anything about that personally of course ;>)

They obviously tried to make this town center a nice place:)

That looks like an attractive area, Sylvia - nice shots. I also hate malls, they're one of my least-favorite places to be.

Town Center looks like my kind of shopping center. Mostly outdoors, interesting places, flowers, and fountains. I could do that.

Great pics.

Take Care Sylvia!

This looks very pretty. I find I can walk more in outdoor mall than an enclosed one.

What a lovely place! I love the young trees -all fresh and symmetrical. I love the decorative planters too. Geez, the gardener in me sees plants anywhere! :) Thank you for sharing! :)

I like to stroll around new mall to see its design, how nature is incorporated into it, or if there's nice restaurants. Through your photos, I, too, think it is a delightful place. Sylvia, maybe you added potential wrinkles on my face. (Smiles.)

More wisdom from PJO'r! I think that shopping is some form of capitalist torture (unless it’s for books of course!)

Hope you have a good week.
