Shadow Shot Sunday!

Get out the magnifying glass, get into your best sleuthing clothes and start prowling your environment looking for those wonderful, but sometimes elusive shadows. This fun and challenging meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the link under the blog title and sign up to play!!

Our weather continues to be gorgeous, warm, sunny, but with the nightmare of Irene along the entire east coast, it's a little difficult to not feel guilty that things here -- so far   --  have been so uneventful weather-wise! My shadows for today are from the roof to the beach, to the art show and back home!!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend. I'm holding good thoughts for all of you in Irenes path!

Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.  Louis E. Boone

The header is a glorious tribute to Klaus, Sylvia, as are the little glimpses of sky in your shadow shots!

SHADOW DITTY

Shadows of onyx, shadows of grey,
Shadows to chase my doldrums away;
Shadows each morning, shadows at night,
Shadows, O shadows, you’re my delight!

It looks like you nice weather will hold for my kids. I'll carry your hug with me to Michael. They are even for casting nice weather for us in Southern California, unusual for this time of year it should be cooler in the San Fernando Valley than here in the Sacramento Valley.

Hi Sylia, I know how you feel ... except we have fires and smoke around here so that lessons some of the survivors guilt. I love your pretty shadow shots, and am really growing to love your roof too.

I was so sorry to hear about Klaus. Take good care,

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
