LOVE the Lou Holtz quote, Sylvia! Your glass is so pretty in the sunlight.
That second shot is indeed a cornucopia of color - quite wonderful!
You do have fun with your shadows, Sylvia. The busier the better!
Shadowy Empty Room
Sylvia....love the shadow of the glass with the reflection of your Christmas cactus in it ~ it is BEAUTIFUL!
However, we are laughing at your first shadow, because I was hunting for quotes yesterday and read this one for Karrie:
"The other day when I was walking through the woods, I saw a
rabbit standing in front of a candle making shadows of people on a tree."
~Stephen Wright
Isn't that funny, then you went ahead and put that picture on...you made us smile :)
Maybe the girls should put that one on their shadow quote page!!
Have a nice weekend Sylvia!
That funny picture with the shadow of the hand, the third is my favorite, beautiful. I like, very evocative and wildly creative. Greetings and happy weekend.
I always love your shadow shots with your beautiful coloured glass!
Busy or not, that second shot is pure joy! A nice series from your files-glad you fished through them!
Beautiful shadows.
Regards and best wishes
Love the shadow of the hand!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Who would have thought, such wisdom from Jonathan Winters. I like that image you coupled with it as well, great composition.
That first one is really fun!
Love your header today, too. :)
I also like the 'frenetic' shadows of the second shot.
The third photo creates quite a mysterious atmosphere.
Have fun seeking shadows this week, Sylvia!
your shadows are inspiring
have a wonderful weekend

Your top photo really impressed me! The raised pinky finger ~ The black and white. Really a keeper!! Happy SSS Sylvia.
ps-Your Mubai friend is so silly! How does she think up this stuff??
It is indeed a great one!
I always love when you display your glass. So pretty it is.
Very enjoyable "Shadow Shot Sunday" post, Sylvia!
Have a beautiful Sunday!
The hand looks almost like a duck quacking - bravo (we really like ducks around here :)
The shadows in color are always so amazing - we so often think of B&W shadows, the hues add a great depth. Enjoy your week!
PERFECT QUOTE! Coach Holtz blessed us here at South Carolina as a great Coach!

Great shadow shots for the day.
Great shadow shots, love the one with the hand.
Have a beautiful weekend.

Awesome Shadow Shots Sylvia, and as for your header, I can't stop laughing, it just maybe the best one yet.
Such striking shadows - especially in the first and last photos! Love the sense of abstract in the first photo and the beautiful mellow shadow light in the last one!
You have a good excuse for searching your shadow archives. And your shadow archives are so good, I'm glad you had to do it. (But I do wish you some sunshine .. it's time!)
the last shadow...strong and warm. yeah...can't believe this snowfall. non all winter then bam!!! thing is tho, next week is suppose to be in the 50's...can you say flooding. but again...it's all about perspective!!
have a blessed weekend sylvia...always enjoy your comments when you stop by!!
I sure am glad you have your files to share with us. I really like your second photo. It looks like a double exposure, but I don't know how you could do that with a digital camera. In any case, it is really neat.
that 2nd one is busy, but i like the 3rd one best. :)
The one with the hand shadow reminds me of Audrey Hepburn's movie. It looks chic.
Happy weekend. :)
Great shadows, Sylvia - I love the last weekend. I hope you're having a great weekend, I'm spending mine with the grandkids.
Sylvia, I love the second photo...just gorgeous! All the quotes are lovely...
You know I always admire your glass shots, and you've really outdone yourself with that second one! The simple black shape in the first is a nice contrast.
Life and people can be alot like your shadow shots. Real but not always transparent. Hiding but still can be seen.
I especially like you last quote Sylvia. Many boats we would never catch if we didn't even make an effort.
I see Oprah in your header. I miss her show her.
'Have fun with Shadow Shot Sunday' -
and you do! :)
Have a good week ahead!
Great pictures.

well Ms. Sylvia, you did a fine job on all of these photos. That second one is very busy, but I find myself looking at a lot of different things. Many shadows and reflections and shadows of reflections! Nice job!
Peace
You have a good collection of colorful vases.
Sylvia I love the Jonathon Winters quote ! .. is that a huge Christmas cactus reflected in the window ? it is enormous and covered in buds ! My poor sickly one is doing nothing ;-(
Your shadows are fun and very atmospheric !
Joy
Really like the first pic and the quote along.
God bless you!
Cezar
My favorite is still the lacy curtain shadows on the warm coloured wall. I hope you are enjoying your weekend Sylvia, we have a long weekend in Perth so tomorrow is a holiday too, yaaaay! Reading in bed when you don't have to get up early, love it!!
Lovely shadows, Sylvia. That hand shadow is so eloquent in its gesture!
yes, the second one is a lot of fun. But I prefere the first, simple one. It brings back so many joyable memories.
Love that Jonathan Winters' quote!
You are the sunshiny Shadow Queen Sylvia. I hope you are having a great Sunday.
The Holtz quote is one of those interesting quotes that seems profound but I have no idea what it means. A light goes on not to cast light but because someone flicked the switch.
Those are quite artistc and unusual shots and shadows. I hope you see the sun this week!
