Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

The only way to have a friend is to be one.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
When you choose your friends, don't be short-changed by choosing personality over character.
W. Somerset Maugham
A sense of humor... is needed armor. Joy in one's heart and some laughter on one's lips is a sign that the person down deep has a pretty good grasp of life.

I don't usually comment much on your blog Sylvia although I do visit every day. That said, the top photo really stood out to me. Have a great day!

Beautiful photos and quotes.

Happy Memorial Day. Let's never forget those men and women who gave their lives for us and for our freedom.

Hugs,
Betsy

A pretty collage Sylvia, but those evening shots get my vote for serenity. Thanks for sharing.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
