Your photo reminds me I so often see the light falling on coastal snowcapped-mountains and think how pretty they look from a distance. It sure seems like a fun time at the park (love those drawings) in your header, unless you are a world leader wearing a suit. :)

Remembering the sun is a great way to spend a gray day.

What a gorgeous collage of color and a mountain range capped in snow! Thank you for that second photo... I have just called my mom and dad to thank him for serving (and for coming back from the war). He laughed and said he was glad too that he came back!

Have a wonderful day, mon amie.

And what a beautiful world - snowy mountains and gorgeous flowers. Hopefully you'll get some sunshine again soon - we could use some grey and rain here!

Yes indeed, lots of photos from the sunny days. Happy Memorial day to you. We don't commemorate the same day in the UK. That's a lovely photo of the roses and the war graves.

lovely world from your sunny days. :)

We finally got a break from the heat. That´s good. But not much rain. To bad as it starts to get very dry over here.
Have a great week. :)

Happy Memorial Day to you! As with our Remembrance Day holiday in November, I see it as a time to remember those who gave their lives and to work harder than ever for peace. Just a note to add that I loved the gorgeous photographs in your "Evening, Wisdom and Beauty post.

What a beautiful tribute. I feel sad that I did not have any time to put together a tribute to my daddy as I usually do each year. Maybe I will post it later on in the week. Your mosaic is lovely, too. Love those snowy mountain tops and the beautiful flowers. Hope you have a nice week. I am back to work n the morning. genie

That’s a great picture of the grave yard.

Places like that are filled with such a mix of emotion.

Your world is breathtaking, Sylvia. I love the spectacular mountain scene.

The rain you endure is the price you pay for such beauty in your Seattle world.

Smiles and hugs across the miles. :)

Oh, lovely blooms!

They are all great photos, but the roses in front of the grave markers is amazing!

Wonderful post with lovely photos, Sylvia. Memorial Day is very important as too many forget the level of commitment and the great sacrifices that service men and women offer up.
