Evening, Wisdom and Beauty!!

How beautifully leaves grow old.  How full of light and color are their last days.  John Burroughs

We either make ourselves happy or miserable. The amount of work is the same.  Carlos Castaneda

The pleasantest things in the world are pleasant thoughts: and the great art of life is to have as many of them as possible.   Montaigne

Beautiful sky, some gorgeous flowers, and tranquil waters + great quotes. For what more could a visitor ask? I wanna go back, Sylvia. It is hot and muggy here and miserable. Hope that wonderful weather we had when I was there is still happening. Love your post today. genie

I love the colors in the first picture...the quotes are always helpful and always seem to have an uplifting message. You have a wonderful recipe here, great pictures and quotes to remember.

Your last photo is quite striking and also the quote you have paired with it.

What a great show of flowers - we are getting our first spring flowers here now - which does add some colour.

Your quotes are so perfect for each photo. It must take you hours of research to accomplish that.

That first sky shot is wonderful and I love all those blue flowers.

Beautiful skies Sylvia, the blue flowers are a fabulous splash of colour, I can't quite work it out what they are.

Wonderful captures, as usual, Sylvia. I love the sunsets you post form your part of the world. They are very spectacular and must be a joy to experience first-hand. Nevertheless, you photos do them justice.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
