Remembering .....

For once we forget we are asking for it to happen again. Remember to give an extra hug to your loved ones today, to tell them how much they are loved and appreciated!

We shall never forget. Let's not hate even if we are deeply sorry for those who lost their loved ones, and also for those who committed the attack.
I remember exactly where I was, when my sister called me and said:"Turn on the TV, it is so terrible, it's unbelievable....."

How very true and wise, Sylvia. We remember and we still grieve for all that innocent blood shed.

How can we forget. May God guide those who grieve.

We do need to remember how we were attacked but we need to stop almost worshiping the day. Those who lost loved ones will never be able to heal their loss as long as we continue to commemorate that day.

The memorial is finished now and that is enough of a memorial.

I read that we spent 60 million dollars on commemorating the day. I could understand commemorating the tenth anniversary but not every single year.

We need to concentrate on moving on. Anyone who has lost a loved one knows that we need to move on. And to move on, we need to stop digging up the past over and over again.

We do need to be diligent that it not happen again.

We should never forget! I watched a show last night about the making of the memorial and it was amazing. Now I really want to go to the site to see it, but might wait until the new trade center is done in 2014.
And, as always, I love all your quotes and stunning images that go with them (and your banner always makes me smile big time).

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
