Evening, Wisdom and Beauty!!

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.
Lewis Carroll

My old grandmother always used to say, Summer friends will melt
away like summer snows, but winter friends are friends forever.
 George R.R. Martin

Winter is the time of promise because there is so little to do - or because you can now and then permit yourself the luxury of thinking so.  Stanley Crawford

Oh, so very, very true! Winter friends are friends forever. Great quote. Have you learned how to use that new camera yet (as in whipping it in to submission?).

The sun disappearing behind the tall trees must be a wonderful sight each evening Sylvia, do you see this view from your home?

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
