Evening, Wisdom and Beauty!!

In seed time learn, in harvest teach, in winter enjoy.  William Blake

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.
Edith Sitwell

Adore these pictures and words as always. Your dear friend has absolutely outdone herself in the current header. Always wonderful, but this one is simply fantastic!

Ah--love that Japanese Proverb. Winter can be COLD --and we can use all of the 'warmth' we can get. Speaking of warmth, it's getting warmer here this week... Love to feel that sunshine!!!!

Great photos.
Hugs,
Betsy

It's a good thing I don't have to photograph the sky. I would have shown nothing but total white in grey for the past 3 weeks! These are lovely as usual!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
