Well, the new year is underway and time for another look at Our World!! Hope all of you had a great weekend! It's always fun to look around our world and see what looks particularly appealing for today's post!!

Do right for your own sake, and be happy in knowing that your neighbor will certainly share in the benefits resulting.
Mark Twain

We live in the present, we dream in the future and we learn eternal truths from the past.
Madame Chiang Kai-Shek

Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present.
Albert Camus

My son, David, liked the camera he gave me for Christmas so much that he got himself the same one!! And here's a photo he took last night of the moon in Dallas!!  Don't expect my shots to be this good for some time!! He's much more talented than I am!  But I had to share this with you! Isn't it awesome!!!

love the trees in the first photo, too.

Judging from the shape of the moon, you must live not so far from the equator. Am I right? Your photos and quotes are marvellous. Have a great week.

Oh wow, I'm gobsmacked by the moon. And I want to be right there on the shore!

Where DOES your son get all his talent? (And good looks and charming personality too of course!) ... you are a great role model Mom!

That first picture makes me homesick for the Northwest...it is so typical of Oregon/Washington coastline.

Happy 2013 to you and yours Sylvia!

The photo of your son is perfect indeed!! And now I am curious what kind of the camera you have!
But also your photos and writings too are enjoyable!

So love the crater details in that awesome shot of the moon! But I do love that first photo especially - looking down on my favourite kind of world - beaches + water!

Wow that shot of the moon is awesome but take credit for your own photos which are wonderful.

Oh, aren’t you lucky to have a camera with a lens that can get you so up close and personal with the moon!

These views of our world are simply beautiful. I suspect it won't be long before the photos you take with your new camera are every bit as good as your son's picture of the moon.

Happy New Year Ms Sylvia. Hope to be back blogging so often, but sure glad to be able to share photos from my road trip, and locally.

Enjoy your camera, and don't be like me, not reading the manual.

Take care!

I think you should claim the Moon image as your own!

Well, there is a lot of genetics the two photographers in common!
