Weekend Reflections

Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes.
 Oscar Wilde

I did miss being able to visit the flamingos this year, so I'm sharing an old shot for today!
Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty.

That is an image to look at again and again, Sylvia!

I once watched a large flock of flamingos in Southern Italy, in the salt ponds of Margarita di Savoia, Apulia.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Merisi

Sweet shot!

I'm not too sure about using Sitting Bull's image though.

Flamingoes always make me think of beautiful frail dancers!
I wish you a happy week-end, dear Sylvia!

Flamingos are such elegant birds. I will never forget when I saw them by the thousands at Lake Bogoria in Kenya.

Flamingos make such pretty pink reflections, don't they?

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
