Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty.

If you have made mistakes...there is always another chance for you...you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down.  Mary Pickford

They are such wonderful creatures to watch as they seem to glide effortlessly through the water yet beneath it they are working like mad to keep moving.

Mrs. Duck looks like she's enjoying herself.

It is rather maddening to me that ducks can appear so serene, yet under the water their little legs are paddling like crazy. I love watching them on land or on water. Have a restful weekend.

Love the swirl of light round the duck framing its reflection.

Great reflection for today Sylvia, and a great quote, if you fall down you gotta get up!

When I make mistakes, my second chance usually ends up in the same mistake. I must be a slow learner.

I always enjoy your duck photos, Sylvia. The only thing better is ducks and turtles on a log!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
