Weekend Reflections

My daughter was enjoying a visit to a park in California and saw this swan. She took the photo and sent it to me, knowing how I love swans! It looked so peaceful and lovely and I wanted to share it with you today! Hope all of you have a great weekend!!

It's always a treat to see a swan. Looks like a great spot for a bench.

I don't think any other creature can move with such elegance and glide along as if by magic.

There is nothing as graceful as a swan except maybe a swan with his reflection in the water ... and yet, if you have ever been whacked by one of those wings, it might be hard to appreciate the grace ... but they are still beautiful to look at :) Have a great weekend, Sylvia ...

It is a lovely Swan. Do they have Mute, or Trumpeter Swans, or possibly both where your daughter lives? We only have the beautiful and majestic Mute Swans here. Happy weekend to you too~

I saw a flock of large white birds flying over the Skagit Valley yesterday. I think the swans have arrived from Canada. - Margy

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
